::for you

I've recently been told that my aunt is now a follower of this blog. So for you...I give:

Apparently clogs are back in style now. I think this is truly the first time I can say, I used to wear these back when they were in style the last time (Cue montage of years past in a "this is your life" way...jump back to reality to realize you're getting old). I put this in honor of my aunt, because I think she's the only person I know who still has these. So, Melinda...you are now officially on top of the trends. Congrats.

I myself am not a huge fan of the clogs. They don't stay on my feet and I've just recently come to accept the wedge as non-heinous footwear...so, the clog has to get in line behind capris, crocs, "boyfriend jeans", harem pants, and basically anything you'd find on Rihanna.

I have been seeing clogs a lot, not just recently. No one told me they went out of style. Ha. I wear a pair of Dansko clogs a LOT. I've had them since 2007 and they have held up really well. Which is great since they are so pricey. They are really supportive and for day to day stuff, they work best, although they are not as fashionable. Cole Haan has really cute clogs and within the past year Jessica Simpson has sold a pair with a high heel that I almost bought. Also, the Ugg Kaylee clog was around about three years ago and they discontinued it before I had a chance to buy it. Sooooo I guess I didn't get the memo. I thought they'd always been part of the trend.
