In other news, it's November. I don't know if you're aware, but I sure am not. How is there only a couple weeks til Thanksgiving?! I haven't even thought about Christmas shopping. This is what happens when you get old I guess. (kidding) This year, though...I'm actually excited about decorating. Last year I had the funk. I didn't want to decorate because I knew the cat would just take everything out. Well...buckle up kitty, cause this year, patrolman Andrea sees Everything!
We're thinking about getting a live tree this year. I don't remember ever having one (I think maybe we did one year...a long, long, long time ago. But we never repeated.) Thoughts? Do you like the live trees better than fake? Are they more trouble than their worth? Would you dare even think of using a fake tree?

We always had live trees growing up, but Josh never did. He INSISTS that we have a live tree each Christmas! I don't mind though. I think they're totally worth it.
No fake tree!!! I have always had a live tree and I've converted Allen to live trees as well. Lowe's and Home Depot will have the best prices. Also, go with a Frasier as it will not shed very much. If you water if with sprite and warm water that helps with shedding as well and keeps it alive longer. We buy ours thanksgiving weekend and it stays up until New Years and it's fine..
Thanks for the tips, Jenny!
