We'll take a momentary pause in the Europe posts to comment on the trip to the French Quarter. The whole weekend was a blast! We stayed at the Hotel Monteleone (carousel bar inside -pic below) and it was lovely. This was my first trip to New Orleans and I've been told that I've now been spoiled, hah. If you've never been, it's really worth a trip. The french quarter is really cute (kinda dirty though, so fyi on the open toed shoes). Lots of little shops and places to visit. Overall it was just a great trip!
