::london

I must be getting old as I'm still feeling the jet lag today. It's not debilitating or anything, but I definitely notice it.  Anyway - the trip was absolutely amazing. We saw pretty much everything we wanted to, ate some of the best food, and generally just had a great time. After we got home, Aaron made the comment that it was a good thing we got along or else it would've been a Loong trip. Hah! I didn't think about it, but I guess so. It's important to enjoy your company as well as the trip itself.

I'll try not to belabor these posts, but I might go into more detail than normal. It's really more for my benefit...so if I start to drone on, feel free to skim along ;)

The first day, we got to London, we walked around the entire west side of the city, including some of the south bank. We rode the London eye to get a good first view of the city. The pictures make it look really dark and cloudy. It was some of the time, but not all day and not too much while we rode. Our first meal was at this tiny little Mediterranean place. It was fantastic! We also went to the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Parliament, Big Ben and Oxford street. I can't remember much else aside from the fact that my feet were killing me (we didn't have anywhere to change once we flew in).
