Had a nice little round of food poisoning so this weekend's festivities were a bit dampened. Didn't make it to BBQ Fest (wop wop) and can't say I was super exciting company at a shower (sorry Kim!). However, things are on the mend and hopefully by this weekend I'll be back to 100% cause it's off to New Orleans for me!! Here's to a brief week!
Any ways- back to the trip posts.
The second day in London we headed out to Westminster Abbey. This was one of my favorite places we visited the whole trip. It was just gorgeous. So much history and so much beauty were all balled together. They didn't allow you to take pictures inside and unfortunately my words would do it no justice. Suffice it to say - Princess Kate picked the right spot to get married for sure (and no...no sign of the Princess anywhere...)
After that we stopped by Buckingham Palace.
And then the Kew Gardens (kinda like the Memphis Botanic Gardens, but gigantic)
This was also one of the best attractions of the trip, I thought. It was nice to get away from the city. This peacock was massive. When we first rounded the corner and saw him sitting on the bench I thought he was fake. We started taking pictures and getting braver and closer and he was just chillin. So pretty.
