::made it

Going to try and spend a little time outside this weekend, I think. Get in some quality nature time before the temps decide to scorch the earth. :)

::on Paris

#2 things to look forward to - A cruise down the Seine River.

Cruise up the majestic Seine and discover the sights of Paris from a new perspective. From the water it is possible to see the bridges and monuments of Paris as you could never hope to from land.This hour long river cruise delivers spectacular and hidden views of this magnificent city.

An informative historical and cultural commentary is available in English and on-board guides occasionally take the microphone to inform Paris visitors about current events, exhibits, and festivals.The main Bateaux Parisiens pier is located close to the Eiffel Tower. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity for any Paris visitor to better understand the geography of the city, to learn more of the history, and to see this city from a new perspective.

::a miniseries

In honor of the forthcoming trip, I'm going to start a few postings about things we plan to do/things we're excited about! I have very little else on the brain at the moment and since all spending has ceased til we get back...no changes are being made to the house.

First up, Versailles.

The part of our trip to Paris I'm most looking forward to. We should be able to spend a good portion of our day here. It's about half an hour outside of Paris so you want to soak it in before heading back. There are countless gardens surrounding the property, plus several trianons should the main palace get over crowded. I don't know if they allow pictures inside, but I'll see what I can do :)

::mother knows best

Kitty usually sleeps with me at night, but recently he'd been parking it on our couch. I assumed he was in the throws of adolescence and no longer needed me...but then I got sad. This can't be true! It must be the blanket on the couch. I sit on it everyday, it smells like me...he just thinks this is an alternative to normal sleep.

Aaron disagreed. He said the blanket had nothing to do with it. He just liked sleeping on the couch now. Discontent with this answer, I sought to prove him wrong.

Success! I lost a blanket, but regained my sleeping buddy. :D

::in the waiting line

As hard as it is to be patient...sometimes it's really nice to be given a moment to catch your breath. As Rob Mullins used to say, "Can I get an Amen?" :)

::a plan

What I've been up to recently:

- My friend Kim got engaged recently (woot!). We headed over to David's bridal as a preliminary 'trying on of the dresses'. I anticipate many more outings like this :D

- Trip planning is in full swing. I'm trying to strike a chord between planning enough to not waste time, but not over planning to where it feels like a field trip. Any suggestions are more than welcome. First 5 days will be in London and the second 5 will be in Paris. And to say that I'm excited is a huge understatement!!

- I don't know about you guys, but apparently I thrive in routine. There was a spider in my dining room this morning that I had to kill and thus broke "the groove". I drive up to work this morning and reach for my lunch....waah waaah. Left it in the fridge. Thus begins the revenge of the spiders. Should've never trapped the other one under that cup...

- Back onto weddings...this year is just crazy. Almost every weekend from the middle of April through the middle of July is booked. I'm Super excited because HOW much fun is wedding stuff. Yay to all you brides out there.

- I signed up for the Youth Villages 5k (April 21st). If any one's interested, you should sign up. Youth Villages is a great cause. The run is in the Ridgeway Loop (or hill country as I affectionately refer to it). I'm also considering signing up for the Color Run in Nashville this October. My friend is already signed up and it just sounds awesome. You wear all white to the race and as you run the course you get splattered with paint. By the end of the race you're covered. Too fun!

::for the kids?

My friend and I often joke about how if we weren't married and could decorate our house anyway we liked...both of us would end up with homes that looked like one big nursery. :)
Sometimes the little kid in you never dies.

I mean, come on. How cute is this? I need to put rainbow decals all over my den. ;)

I want: To be on a plane already. Girl loves to travel.

I love: Sweet little reminders...

I have: The cutest little family. Even when we're lazy. (Yes, I cut off Aaron's head as he was not happy about the picture. But I just had to show you Mr. B. Any new place to sleep and he's on it like jam on toast).
