As soon as you start feeling comfortable, the rug gets pulled out from under you. You know how I said I just got a new job? Well, I did. Again. While I was on vacation.

Oh the madness.

Speaking of which, we just got back from vacation. It was SO wonderful. The temperature of the air and water was absolutely perfect. The water was almost as clear as the Caribbean. We saw a school of stingray swim by the beach almost every day and the outlet mall has added an Ann Taylor Loft outlet. <3 I was in heaven.

Waking up early this morning reminded me that there actually is a 6 in the morning time too. Yikes!

It might be a while before I can post again. I know this whole "every 6 weeks" thing is pretty awesome. I'll try and be more lame when I get back.

What have I been up to the last little bit of forever?

- Building a fence. All 140 feet of it.

And yes, we're Finally finished. Cue the hallelujah chorus! For a first try, it's not so bad. We definitely could have made some better decisions (primarily at the beginning...once we got our stride it was smooth sailing) but all in all, it's not too shabby a first effort if I do say so myself. Herein lies our last week in its entirety. Nothing.else.got.done. Yes, Seriously.

- Studying for my Series 7.

- Attending BBQ fest

I had never been before and 3 friends of ours had tents so we figured we'd check it out this year. (That and the husband was actually off work). It was awesome. Definitely not worth going if you can't get into a tent...but way more fun than I expected. Good job guys!

On a different note, does anyone have a recommendation for a book on tape?

I'm back somewhat. I'm not really sure what the schedule will hold for the foreseeable future, but I have a minute now so I'm going to tell you what's up. Well, I got a new job. No...not worthy of the anticipation. My apologies. I just haven't had the time to get on here and share the news.


Suffice it to say, the entire thing was a huge shock. I was approached about the position on Tuesday, interviewed on Wednesday, and offered the job on Thursday needing to accept very quickly. If you know me, you'll know that I'm NOT an impulsive person and something like this kinda shook me up a bit. (Be glad you weren't at my house on Thursday night...poor Aaron). I've been transitioning between 2 jobs this whole last week and probably for the rest of the month. It's going really well and I'm excited for the challenge. It feels a little like I'm graduating. Very bittersweet. I'm excited for the future but desperately sad to let go of all normality.
