::welcome back

To everyone I've talked to since I've been back....I'm sorry you had a bad week last week. :) Man, talk about the invisible hurricane that blew over Memphis (and the western Caribbean...don't worry, my week wasn't any better). As soon as I hit dry land the phone calls came a pouring. Talk about life hitting you hard and fast. Next week will all be better everone! All together now....Life is Good! Whoo hoo!

Things accomplished so far:
- One load of laundry
- Grocery shopping
- Meals made and planned (might sound trite...but I don't get this done on a normal week)
- Dishes (thanks honey!)
- Bills paid
- Friend's birthday present assembled and presented
- Caught up on our TV shows (again trite...but a girl has to take a break sometime!)

Things yet to accomplish:
- Sleep (I'm running on nothing. Adrenaline came and went Monday and at this point it's just fumes. Now you would think the TV would take a back seat to this. Well...there's my good judgement in action.)
- Exercise (not even going to try and make an excuse here...)
- Other load(s) of laundry
- Folding the load of laundry still sitting in the dryer from Monday.
- Regaining any form of sanity sans mass sleep depriviation

Maybe I'll just starting drinking coffee...

::feels good to be home

So we're back. I can honestly say I've never been so happy to be home. The trip was kind of a bust. I'll just save you the phone call (for like the 2 people I haven't talked to...you guys are quick with the calls!) We had bad winds for the better part of the cruise thus cancelling all port excursions AND the stop to Jamaica. Ah well. Chalk it up to experience, I suppose. Just wish it hadn't cost that much to find out that cruises were boring. Moving on...

Target is going to have a new line of home decor/accessories coming in mid-March that I'm very exicted about. Think Anthropologie but with half the price tag!

::this might be my last

I'll be heading out Saturday morning bright and early. So, this might be it from me for a while. I don't intend on taking the old laptop as I plan to just drop everything. Man this week has just been crazy. You know the kind...the ups and downs. I'm talking like up and down several times in a day. Phew...I don't know how some people do it. I like consistency. I know some find it boring, but I don't! I find it soothing...comforting in a way. I've gotten very good news, had routines changed every single day, been crazier than ever at work...I'm just over it.

Vacation...here I come. I might be there in pieces, but I'm coming. : )

::much ado about nothing

Yes...there has been some neglect. I've been keeping up with all of your posts, friends...but I just haven't really had that much to say lately. I'll just give you some tidbits of my life as of late:

- Found out the best time to take your car through inspection is when it's snowing here in Memphis. I had 2 cars in front of me (*high five)

- I've been "sick" now with a sinus infection/cold/whatever you want to call it since the middle of December now. I'm really over it.

- Aaron and I have been taking the Financial Peace University class by Dave Ramsey. It's been really good so far! I would definitely recommend it if you've never taken it. There have not been Near as many fights as I thought there would have been over the budget. :) So that's a good thing.

- If you live in TN and you haven't been deducting your sales tax off your taxes...go ahead and lament with me. We actually saved all our receipts and decided to give it the old college try this go round. I cannot Believe the difference in our deductions this year. (Of course some of it was buying the house)...but I mean it. Try it next year. Tell me if I'm wrong.

- Aaron is now the proud owner of 3...that's right, I said 3...long-sleeved, button up dress shirts that all fit! We did a little shopping for our upcoming cruise (woot!). I know...it took me 3 1/2 years, but I'm wearing him down. (Actually, the excitement of the cruise got him delirious...that's the only reason we went shopping, but I'm totally going to take credit)

- Been thinking of new improvements for the house (does this really ever stop?) So far I've got: ceiling fan and roman shades for den, nightstands and floor mirror for bedroom, curtains and pillows for office, ceiling light (2) for the kitchen, and stones to outline the flower bed in the front yard. I think these are all reasonable for 2010. I've got all year. :) What about you? Any home decor projects coming up/in progress?

- Wedding season is rapidly approaching. Come March, the cashiers at Bed, Bath & Beyond will know me well! Yay for 20% off coupons!
