::20 seconds or less

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! My weekend was lovely. Scored some Great deals on Black Friday. Don't forget to look around online today and take advantage of the Cyber Monday specials. I've pretty much put out all the Christmas decorations I think I'm going to. I'm just a little lazy this year ;) And you should also be proud of me because I started wrapping (that's right, not even buying, but wrapping) my Christmas presents yesterday. It took me over 6 hours and I'm still not even finished wrapping or buying. *_*

Phew.

Well, I'm off to peruse the online sales. They've got some great deals!

I know I keep whining about being too busy. I'm sorry. But it's true. And for proof...I started this post last Thursday, I believe (Friday, maybe)...and am just now picking back up. A few tidbits in my moment of solitude...

- Christmas shopping is almost complete. Phew! I love the Internet! I decided that buying for little kids is way more fun than buying for adults.
- I'm really loving the knee sock with tall boots look right now. I've already worn it on several occasions. Aaron only gave me one weird glance about it. ;)
- I decided to make my own Christmas tree garland this year. I'm changing up my theme...so something new was in order. I make it out of twine and pipe cleaner. I'll take a picture and show you sometime.
- Finalized the Christmas party. Asian theme is a go. Decorations are ordered, part of the menu has been decided and costumes need to be made. Again, I'll let you know how it goes.
- I'm going with the "live" thing this year. The tree and all garland (*cross fingers) will be fresh. Never done this before, so I'm curious about the end results on this.

This weekend was beyond busy. I mean it. I had about 4 hours of downtime. I was doing loads of laundry in between places I had to be. Put in wash, leave. Come home, stick in dryer...start new load, leave. It was fun though. Got some Christmas shopping done. Also, my coworker had her baby (almost a month early!), so I went up to the hospital to see her. Cute baby!! He had a full head of dark hair and had some dark hair on his back and arms! lol...

I could expound on everything...but I'm just trying to catch up at this point. How are you?

Sorry for the lack of posts. Life has kicked into full force lately. Tis the season, I suppose. A couple things to keep you interested until I have more time to elaborate:

- Gotten an idea for the annual Christmas party this year. It seems to be okay received. I just wonder if anyone would miss the dresses. We'll see. I like my idea for this year better, just because you won't go to any other Christmas party like this one...so, I'll keep you posted.

- Yes, I am taking off the day after Thanksgiving this year. I know, I know...waste a full day vacation for what will most likely be a half day at work. BUT...the black Friday ads are starting to come out and some of the deals look enticing. We're thinking about a couple of electronic purchases this year, and it might just be worth waiting outside all night again. Now, I'll just have to see if I can find anyone to recruit...takers?

- Possible trip to Nashville this Saturday. Am I willing to wake up that early though?

- I've only gotten a couple of Christmas gifts so far (nothing to write home about...or blog about, I guess :)) How are you doing?

I will be away until Monday at least...so I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

::heads up

Just wanted to let you know I changed my settings so now anyone can comment on this blog. Yes...I know who you are...and yes, I know you're reading this now... ;) I didn't know you could change this but I have.

In other news, it's November. I don't know if you're aware, but I sure am not. How is there only a couple weeks til Thanksgiving?! I haven't even thought about Christmas shopping. This is what happens when you get old I guess. (kidding) This year, though...I'm actually excited about decorating. Last year I had the funk. I didn't want to decorate because I knew the cat would just take everything out. Well...buckle up kitty, cause this year, patrolman Andrea sees Everything!

We're thinking about getting a live tree this year. I don't remember ever having one (I think maybe we did one year...a long, long, long time ago. But we never repeated.) Thoughts? Do you like the live trees better than fake? Are they more trouble than their worth? Would you dare even think of using a fake tree?

::sad little pictures

It looked alot better once it was dark outside and all my candles were lit and the purple lights were on. Sounds tacky, but it looked good. Oh well...this is my sad attempt to show you pictures. I was a bit rushed for time. *_*

Hopefully you get the idea...

::hello sunshine

The party, I think, was great. We had at least 20 show up. I took pictures of the decor which I'll post asap. I didn't have the energy to do anything yesterday. Two days of straight planning, decorating, shopping and cooking can really take it out of you. The costumes were great as well.

You should check out this interview from Design Sponge:

They've rebound several Penguin classics in cloth. This is the interview with the designer. What a cute gift to give over the holidays. Some one's favorite all bound in a cute design. Love it!
